The 2026 Community Health Worker (CHW) Conference is a one-day event dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and strengthening the Community Health Worker workforce. Hosted by Healthways Alliance (formerly HealthVisions Midwest) in partnership with the Indiana Community Health Worker Association (INCHWA), this conference brings together Community Health Workers, healthcare professionals, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and public health advocates for a day of education, networking, and collaboration.
This year's theme, "CHWs: The Heart of Public Health," will feature engaging presentations, valuable resources, networking opportunities, and exhibitors showcasing programs and services that support healthier communities.
The conference will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive, Hammond, IN 46323, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. CST. Vendor setup begins at 9:00 a.m., attendee check-in opens at 9:30 a.m., and presentations begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Light refreshments and lunch are included.
While the conference highlights the important work of Community Health Workers, everyone is welcome to attend—you do not need to be a Certified Community Health Worker to participate.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with additional event details, including the conference agenda, presentation topics, and other important information.
